So when it was announced that EA Sports would be bringing back its college football video game series, it was easy to draw on fun youthful memories to generate excitement and look past our current life situations or the ups and downs of modern video games.
Eleven years after the last college football game, EA Sports College Football 25 has fully brought back the feeling of the old days with a modern update.

The game has great graphics and a ridiculously realistic feel for each school. But more than anything, it feels like the game we used to love. The old game wasn't necessarily broken. It only disappeared because the NCAA wouldn't allow players to be paid for the use of their name, image and likeness. The sport has changed dramatically since then with NIL, unlimited transfers and much more. This game has added all of that without taking away what we loved about it in the first place.
How to get early access
Anyone who buys the game's deluxe edition ($100) can start playing the full game on July 16. This is pretty standard for EA, which often opens its games several days earlier for people who pay extra. The Deluxe Edition also comes with 4,600 points for the Ultimate Team mode, along with several other Ultimate Team packs. The standard edition of College Football 25 for $70 will be released on July 19.
Another way to play College Football 25 starting July 16 is through the EA Play early access trial. Through this trial, people can play the game for 10 hours. So make sure to close the app when you're not playing, otherwise the clock may run out faster than you'd like. EA Play costs $6/month or $40/year.
