1. Open steam_appid.txt from the latest release of The Grand Archives cheat table.
2. Locate your Elden Ring folder in the Steam/steamapps/common directory
3. On Windows, play Elden Ring by running eldenring.exe, not from Steam. On Steam Deck or Linux, you can add eldenring.exe as a non-Steam application and access it that way.
4. You can use the Offline Launcher alternative from Seamless Co-op creator Luke Yui, which The Grand Archives refers to as a "compatibility" option.
This third method was suggested by Shamadruu in a Nexus forum thread on an older Elden Ring cheat table, and is referred to as the "old school" method of disabling EasyAntiCheat by The Grand Archives:

1. Beforehand, run Elden Ring and set it to run in offline mode from the options menu.
Go to your steam installation folder (steamapps/users/common/Elden Ring/Game)
2. Rename "start_protected_game.exe" to something else (it can be anything, you just want to be able to change it back)
3. Rename eldenring.exe to "start_protected_game.exe," which effectively replaces the original Easy Anti-Cheat launcher
If you log into a rigged character while online, there is a chance that FromSoftware's detection system will flag you and ban you temporarily or permanently, as happened in Dark Souls 3.
