Death Rite Bird In Shadow Of The Erdtree Location
The Death Rite bird is located in Charo's Hidden Grave, where the routes are shown in the image above, right after Charo's Hidden Grave in the graveyard with other bird statue enemies as backup. It spawns when you cross a certain threshold in the area and appears in a sea of blue flames.
You can spend some time getting rid of the smaller enemies before the boss spawns to make the fight easier for yourself. Fewer total enemies equals fewer annoying pests to deal with, so you can focus entirely on the actual boss.

How To Beat Death Rite Bird
The Death Rite Bird isn't the hardest boss in the DLC, not by a long shot, but it can still be a little difficult to kill for anyone not familiar with the moveset. It can get up close quickly and the ghost flames it uses do a lot of damage and linger on the ground for a while.
- Basic attack: When the player is close to the bird, it will fly up and swing its staff or perform a wide sweeping attack. It can also turn its head backwards and peck at the player, which can start a devastating grab attack animation. These attacks can be easily avoided by rolling into the attack, allowing players to punish the enemy afterwards.
- Ghost flame ignition skill ( normal attack): The boss ignites a ghost flame and swings its weapon to create a wave of blue fire in a single line. It will only do this when the player is further away. The attack can be avoided by running to the side - or dodging sideways at the right time.
- Ghost flame ignition skill ( strong attack): The boss ignites a ghost flame and strikes his staff into it, causing an explosion. Players can move behind the enemy or create distance when they see the flame ignite to avoid the attack.
- Explosive ghost flame : The death ritual bird charges its staff and smashes it into the ground, creating a rather large explosion. Players can run away and punish the attack with ranged weapons, spells or ranged consumables.
- Ghostflame Feather Barrage: The bird flaps its wings and releases a mass of ghost flame feathers that chase the player, causing them to stagger with each attack, draining their HP at a very fast pace. Run sideways or summon Torrent and sprint to the side to avoid the attack.
